MLR is looking for a highly qualified and certified Medical Technologist (ASCP or AMT) to join our client’s distinguished laboratory team near Katy, Texas! In this vital role, you will perform advanced laboratory testing, providing crucial data that supports accurate diagnoses and treatment decisions for patients.
Key Responsibilities for the Medical Technologist:
- Conduct a variety of laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology.
- Interpret and analyze test results, ensuring timely and precise reporting to healthcare providers.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshooting as needed to ensure optimal functionality.
- Follow stringent quality control protocols and comply with regulatory standards to uphold the highest lab practices.
- Accurately record and report test results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to discuss test results and their implications for patient care.
- Engage in continuous education and training to stay updated on new laboratory techniques and technologies.
MT Qualifications:
- Certified as a Medical Technologist (MT) through ASCP, AMT, or another recognized accrediting body.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Current Texas state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Medical Technologist.
